4-H Youth Development
Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County's 4-H Youth Development program provides fun, experiential learning opportunities to help young people grow to be healthy, happy, contributing global citizens.
In 4‑H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. We are the local branch of America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

4-H is the “hands-on" Youth Development Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension. 4-H provides informal educational opportunities that will enable youth to become the leaders of tomorrow. 4-H is open to all youth ages 5 through 19, regardless of race, religion, color, or sex. Youth must be residents of Sullivan County for at least part of the year.

Career Explorations
4-H Career Explorations is a three-day event for youth held on the Cornell University campus each summer. Its purpose is to expose youth to academic fields and careers, to develop leadership skills, to provide hands-on experience in a college setting and to introduce youth to Cornell University. The event is made up of two grade specific tracts: University U for youth entering grades 8-9 and Focus for Teens for youth entering grades 10-12.
