The CCE Sullivan Prevention Team takes a proactive approach to preventing substance abuse. We offer evidence-based programs that build confidence and empower youth and adults with skills to make decisions that better their lives. Prevention programs can be hosted by CCE Sullivan or in some cases, by other organizations like schools, libaries and non-profits. How Else Can We Help?
We are community connectors and can refer you to local partners like food pantries, health, and wellness services, and more. We also provide essential prevention supplies including:
- Naloxone (Narcan) kits
- Deterra kits
- Xylazine, Fentanyl testing strips
- Lock bags for medicine/drugs
- Sterile supplies such as masks, gloves, and more
Strengthening Families
We host your family at CCE Sullivan or other community based site for this FREE series of seven, two-hour sessions. Dinner is included. For the first hour, parents and youth each go with their own peer groups - then are reunited for the last hour. Strengthening Families lives up to its name: families connect by understanding the mysteries of adolescence and the struggles of being an adult.

CCE is a proud partner of Sullivan Allies Leading Together (SALT)!
SALT is a diverse partnership of agencies and community resources committed to working together to improve the quality of life for the residents of Sullivan County. Through information sharing, increased prevention efforts, and grassroots interagency collaboration, we seek to improve access to the services that empower members of our community to make lasting and positive change.
PreVenture
Created for youth ages 12-18, PreVenture helps teens understand their personality traits through a short quiz. Based on the quiz results, this free program shows them how to channel those traits into coping skills, goal setting, and confidence building. Held in four 45-minute sessions or two 90-minute sessions, PreVenture has reduced drug and alcohol abuse by 50%.

Take Back Days
The focus of this program is on preventing the misuse of medicine. Our new Take Back Days, in collaboration with local police departments, invites the public to drop off medicine at designated locations so that it can be safely disposed of.
