Farm-Friendly Communities: Tools to Support Agri-Tourism

  • Wednesday, June 17, 2026, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

This is a workshop focused on strengthening agri‑tourism through farm‑friendly land use planning and zoning practices. The workshop is designed to equip municipal officials, planners, and community leaders with practical tools to better support local farms while remaining compliant with New York State regulations.

Nan Stolzenburg of Planning Better Places will lead the workshop, covering New York State Agriculture and Markets guidelines related to direct farm sales. Participants will gain practical tips and learn how to make the most of agri‑tourism opportunities within their communities. The session will also include an overview of the New York State Agricultural Districts Program, highlighting how it can be used to support local farms and agri‑tourism development.

Municipal officials who attend the workshop will earn two continuing education credit hours.

Light refreshments will be served.
