High Tunnel Farm Tour & Networking

  • Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us for an interactive farm tour at Sprouting Dreams Farm, where high tunnels are actively in use. We will take a guided walk-through of several high tunnel setups, hearing directly from the owner, Eugene Thalmann, about what’s worked, what hasn’t, and how high tunnels help manage risk—from early frosts and heavy rains to pest and disease pressure.

Tour stops inside the tunnels will cover:

  • construction
  • ventilation
  • irrigation
  • crop choices
  • and seasonal planning

We will also have time for a farmer Q&A and discussion of risk mitigation strategies.

The event will wrap up with a farmer networking gathering, offering space to connect. Feel free to bring a dish to share and enjoy an informal potluck as we continue the conversation and build community around high tunnels as a risk management tool.
