Parkinson's disease symptoms can be different for everyone. Early symptoms may be mild and go unnoticed. Symptoms often begin on one side of the body and usually remain worse on that side, even after symptoms begin to affect the limbs on both sides. While there’s no cure for Parkinson’s disease, certain medications and lifestyle changes can help manage symptoms and improve overall quality of life.

Taking place on the first Wednesday of the month from April through October (OCTOBER DATE TO BE DETERMINED), the Parkinson's Support Group will offer a place to connect with others and resources available through the Caregiver Resource Center and Alzheimer's Association. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their concerns and share tips on managing stress, learn about Parkinson's, and be provided with community resources.

Interested participants can register through the link below, call (845) 292-6180 ext. 122 or email sullivancrc@cornell.edu.

This program is supported by a grant from the NYS Department of Health and is a partnership between Cornell Cooperative Extension, Sullivan County Office for the Aging, and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County provides equal program and employment opportunities. Contact the office to request accommodations.
