Join us for a physical activity program to provide community members an opportunity to move and support development of movement skills: coordination, flexibility, agility, mobility, stability, and strength.
Classes will be held Fridays, April 25th-May 16th and May 30th through June 20th from 10:00-11:00am (Except June 13th, which will proceed from 9:00 am to 10:00 am) at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County in the North Room (from the front door, turn right and proceed to the last door on the right).
The non-impact aerobics class offers participants a full-body cardiovascular workout. You will be guided to set a focus, leave distractions at the door, warm up, get moving, and cool down. Finish by stretching, relaxing, and strengthening your body with exercises on the mat before stepping out. Each class features basic choreography and free dance, set to a variety of music from around the world.
You will strengthen your mind-body connection and develop coordination, balance, flexibility, agility, mobility, and body wisdom. Wear comfortable clothing and prepare for a practice that is both playful and disciplined. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it, or contact the instructor to borrow one. Leave with a sense of rejuvenated equanimity and autonomy over your own life and well-being.
