Create a healthy eating pattern adapted to suit your tastes and budget! Learn how you can experience healthy eating and physical activity as an enjoyable part of your lifestyle that supports you physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This
is an online course. At minimum, you will need weekly access to a desktop or
laptop computer with an internet connection.
Learn a variety of skills like:
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals for the week
ahead of time so that your food choices are not made under pressure or defined
by convenience.
- Explaining the five food groups and design
meals based on MyPlate.
- Understand the role macro and
micronutrients play in your diet.
- Evaluate any food by
reading the nutrition facts label (if applicable) or looking up nutrition
information online.
Materials
are available through the learning management platform Teachable, and provided
links can be accessed on any web browser. Please contact the office or course
instructor to request any accommodations.
To
access Teachable:
- Set up an account at https://dlc.cce.cornell.edu/login/signup.php. Once
you have completed this step, I will be able to enroll you in the course so you
can access it at your convenience. I check and update course enrollments on
Tuesday mornings. Email the instructor if you need to be enrolled sooner.
Recordings will be available for our virtual sessions.
