Join us for a physical activity program to provide community members an opportunity to move and support development of movement skills: coordination, flexibility, agility, mobility, stability, and strength.
The 52 Moves class offers participants a process for exercising your body and mind from head to toe. Using an interval timer, we spend 60-seconds on each of 52 simple moves. Together, we focus on learning, moving, and energizing the moves by first isolating, then systemically integrating each move into whole-body movement. Participants will be guided through 7 cycles: setting the focus, step in, warm up, get moving, cool down, "floor-play," and step out. A diverse musical soundscape accompanies the class. No prior experience necessary.
Classes will be held Mondays, January 13th-February 3rd at 9:00-10:00am at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County in the North Room (from the front door, turn right and proceed to the last door on the right). Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and bring a yoga mat if you have one. We look forward to kicking off the week with you!
