A 2022 survey by the American Health Association found that 91% of parents reported that their families were significantly less stressed when their families eat meals together regularly. Eating well and being active by oneself and with others is an important part of creating a healthy lifestyle that promotes health and reduces the risk of preventable chronic disease.

The FreshRx Program aims to address food insecurity, improve diet-related health outcomes, and reduce healthcare usage and costs. Nutrition and cooking classes are available free of cost for all interested community members upon registration. Qualifying individuals may earn up to $120 in FreshRx credit to spend on fruits & vegetables at participating Farmers’ Markets in Orange and Sullivan Counties.

Eat Healthy Be Active is a series of workshops on creating a healthy lifestyle taking place at the Orange County Depart of Health/Community Health Outreach building in Newburgh from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Mondays from July 22nd to August 26th.
