Research has shown that increasing physical activity/exercise - while packed with health benefits such as improving coordination, strength, and endurance, and reducing risk for disease - does not reliably result in weight loss. Both diet and exercise factor into a total wellness regimen that helps people look and feel their best.
Eating healthy foods in the right portions is one part of wellness. Equally important is getting enough physical activity! Humans are designed to move, and both exercise AND diet factor into a total wellness regimen that helps people look and feel their best. Having strong social connections is a third (often underrated!) component of well-being. This workshop series takes a holistic approach and aims to address all three by offering tips, tools, and practice in a community setting.
