Integrated Pest Management isn't about winning a war against pests. It's about maintaining balance in a system where crops, pests, and beneficial organisms all play a role!
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County, will provide a 2 hour walking tour at a farm that follows organic practices, teaches Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for diversified small farms by walking the property and stopping at the places where pests and pathogens spend the winter. Held in late Fall, after most annual crops are harvested or frost-killed, we'll focus on the some of the largest IPM decisions of the year. These are the ones made at season's end that determine how much pest pressure a grower faces the following season.
This project is supported by USDA, National Institute of Food and Agriculture award #2022-06508. Cornell Cooperative Extension is an equal opportunity educator, provider, and employer.
