Agricultural Farm Tour Class at Buck Brook Alpacas

  • Monday, August 3, 2026, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Join us at Buck Brook Alpacas to learn how agritourism can create new opportunities for farm businesses. Participants will gain an inside look at how Buck Brook has successfully developed farm tours as a source of income while also educating visitors about agriculture and fostering meaningful connections within the local community. Through years of experience welcoming guests to the farm, Buck Brook has built a model that combines education, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.

During this program, participants will explore the benefits and challenges of hosting farm tours and learn how these experiences can increase public awareness of agriculture, diversify farm revenue streams, and strengthen a farm's presence in the community. The session will also cover a variety of other agritourism ventures, including farm stays, private events, on-farm markets, participation in shows and festivals, and the marketing and sale of fiber products and livestock.

Whether you are currently operating an agritourism enterprise or considering adding visitor-based activities to your farm business, this class will provide practical insights, real-world examples, and ideas to help you evaluate opportunities for expanding your farm's reach and profitability. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how agritourism can support farm viability while creating memorable experiences for visitors.
