Learn what land trusts have to offer and funding opportunities available across the state.

You will hear from our speakers David Behm from NYS Ag & Markets, Kaylan Hubbard from the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, and Michael P. Sweeton from Orange County Land Trust. Our presenters will speak on conservation easements and their role in preserving land, community preservation plans, and state funding opportunities.

Lunch is included

Municipal officials will receive three training credits for attending the workshop.

Agenda:

  • 11am: Brief introduction on conservation easements from Kaylan with Delaware Highlands
    • Community preservation plans presentation from Michael with Orange County Land Trust
  • 12pm: Lunch and networking time
  • 1pm: State funding opportunities with David from Ag & Markets
  • 2pm:Q&A
  • 3pm: Conclusion of workshop
