Fall Garden Cleanup & Planting

  • Thursday, October 24, 2024, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Learn how to prepare a garden for the upcoming cold weather seasons!

Planting a cover crop in your garden will help improve moisture and nutrient composition in the soil so your garden is prepped and ready for the colder months.

We will go through the process of:

  • removing annuals
  • replenishing soil
  • planting crop cover
  • planting fall veggies - garlic, flowers- allium ( both are deer and rabbit resistant!)

Class will be held in the raised garden bed behind CCE. Learn about the benefits of cover crops, how to prepare a garden for winter, and help to plant garlic and allium in the raised beds.

Please dress for the weather as this event is outdoors.
