Did you know that choosing the right tree, and properly caring for it while young will improve the tree's longevity and vitality throughout its long life?
Join us at the Extension Educational Building for an in-person class all about young trees! Learn from CCE's Horticulture Program Coordinator, Katie Gasior, and guest Emma Miller who will present on tree placement, species selection, proper ground & root preparation, basic tree anatomy, and proper maintenance techniques!
This is an indoor program that will take place rain or shine! There is no fee, but preregistration is required to participate! Be aware that registration for this event closes on May 11th!

Emma Miller has a B.S in Environmental Horticulture & Urban Forestry with a concentration in Urban Landscape Management. She has taught about planting trees through an internship with the City of Davis Urban Forestry division and Tree Davis, a connected nonprofit in that area.
