4-H County Public Presentations

Youth are invited to choose, prepare, and present a topic to 2 evaluators and if desired, to family, friends, fellow club members, and potentially the public. 

Evaluators are instructed to provide positive critical feedback both verbally and through a standardized evaluation form following a rubric employed by 4-H educators regionally, following the Danish Awards System. 

All participants receive a Certificate of Completion. Approximately 20% will be selected to advance to the district event (An average of 15% of our county presenters attend the district event).

Any Sullivan County youth ages 5-18 can apply to enroll in 4-H for free, all year long. To learn more about 4-H, call CCESC at 845-292-6180 or visit http://sullivancce.org/4-h-youth-development. Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Youth Development program empowers any youth ages 5-18 to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults. 4-H members have opportunities to connect to Cornell University resources and gain career readiness skills through hands-on activities and “learning by doing."
