Erica is currently the Catskills Kitchen Coordinator at CCE Sullivan. Her role includes working with a USDA Reap Grant which provided resources and assistance, and pro-rated Catskills Kitchen usage to food-based business start-ups that participate in educational workshops. Over the past 5 years, Erica has developed working relationships with dozens of vendors, small scale food processors, and a full calendar of workshops for start-up food entrepreneurs. Through the technical assistance and resource referrals Erica provides, she has assisted more than 200 individuals to prepare their food based businesses to meet New York State Department of Health and USDA licensing standards requirements. In addition, her outreach work has secured Catskill Kitchen’s over 30 entrepreneurs in 5 years. Erica has 20 years of experience in the food retail, preservation, and customer service fields and enjoys cooking, gardening, and raising her flock of backyard chickens. She lives in Bloomingburg with her husband, Justin and dogs, Mako and Cora.
