4-H A Year in Textiles Challenge Part II - Chicken Scratch Embroidery Challenge

  • Friday, May 20, 2022, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Are you a 4-H youth interested in textiles? Why not take on the Chicken Scratch Embroidery Challenge!

Join us at Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) to learn how to make chicken scratch embroidery! This event will serve as an introduction to more programs that focus on working with textiles in the future. You will have the opportunity to learn from volunteers who can mentor you through the creation of your project and beyond!

Anyone who registers to participate in the Chicken Scratch Embroidery Challenge will pick up materials needed during the Fiber Arts For All meeting held at CCESC. You are encouraged to stay and work on your project during the FAFA program where you will also have to opportunity to ask for help if needed on your project!

Note: Signing up for this event does NOT mean you are signed up for all upcoming textile programs. If interested in attending more upcoming textile programs, you can contact 4-H staff member Kaitlyn or the CCESC office using the information below.

Additionally,

If the FAFA meetings are moved virtually during the time of the pick up, 4-H staff will arrange alternate pick up times for kits and send participants the zoom link to join the virtual FAFA program. If you are missing vital materials needed to complete the project that are not included in the kit, you should notify 4-H staff so you can either be provided with other items needed to complete the project or be loaned needed items.

Available spots for this program are limited! Register today using the link below!

Note:  As this is an in-person workshop, we at CCESC recommend that you follow face covering and social distancing guidelines set in place by the CDC for the health and safety of all participants and volunteers who attend (Note that this is not a requirement.). You can refresh your knowledge of the CDC guidelines using the link below.
