Rescheduled: Reframe Your Pain discussion for family caregivers during National Family Caregiver Month

  • Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

This event is rescheduled for 12/08/2021

November is National Family Caregivers Month and Alzheimer's Awareness Month. This year's NFCM theme, "Caregiving Around the Clock," recognizes that caregiving can be exhausting. Many caregivers are assisting the more than 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease. To honor our county's family caregivers, the Caregiver Resource Center is honored to host guest speaker Thomas Bosket who will present "Reframe Your Pain." Mr. Bosket will present an enlightening discussion on what does it mean to be pain free and does pain have to be a negative (as it is just a state of being)? He'll share a cross-disciplinary course entitled Body Creative Immersions, which explores somatic embodiment via movement, touch, and visual art processes.

This program is supported by funding from the NYS and Sullivan County Office for the Aging's Caregiver Program and the Alzheimer's Association of the Hudson Valley.

Contact the CCESC office to request any accommodations. Registration is requested in advance online.

This event is free. Registration is required online.
