Connecting children and nature has important health benefits. Studies show outdoor time helps children grow lean and strong, enhances imaginations and attention spans, decreases aggression, and boosts classroom performance. In addition, children who spend time in nature regularly are shown to become better stewards of the environment. From National Wildlife Federation.

Youth will learn:

  • Different outdoor living skills including, navigation
  • Hiking etiquette
  • Environmental stewardship
  • Fire building 101
  • Knife safety
  • Equipment animal track identification
  • Wild plant identification and more. 
  • Above all, the importance of safety and responsibility will be highlighted.
