This year has seen unprecedented times for most. All season, our farms have navigated an extremely volatile market, while continuing the hard and consistent work of their profession, to provide food for our communities. They adjusted operations, increased workloads, donated food, and time.
We know that a strong local food system is an investment in our well-being and security. Agriculture represents one of the largest economic sectors in Sullivan County. Farms create direct economic benefits providing our residents with fresh, nutrient-rich foods while preserving the rural character that we so highly value.
There is a direct connection to our farmers’ health and our community’s vitality.
Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County is here to support our farmers, and we want to thank them, tangibly this year, for all of the support they have granted us.
We are curating an “ALL FOR AG – Thank You Bag” this Holiday Season to remind our producers that we appreciate them and all they do for their community.
From now till January 5th, 2021 - You can nominate a Farm or Farmer that you appreciate and would like to receive a Thank You Bag from CCE Sullivan.
