Online Plant Sale Updates

*5/11/2020 Update*

Dear Gardeners,

Welcome to CCE Sullivan’s online plant sale!

It’s been a challenging and interesting spring. I hope you are all staying healthy and safe and taking advantage of all the wonderful free gardening webinars from CCE Associations around the state that are posted on our website and open to everyone.

When our office was closing in March, we decided to cancel the plant sale but in this new way of seeing possibility, we have resurrected it in a new form. We already had ordered supplies and had received a few seed donations before things shut down altogether. So why not? Unlike in past years, everything for this sale was grown in our CCE greenhouse.

Here’s the drill: Download, save, and fill out the order form. When finished, email it to blm254@cornell.edu. I will fill the orders on a ‘first come first served’ basis and return your order with what you will be getting, the total price, and the time of your pick-up. You can then pay online, send a check in the mail, or if absolutely necessary pay by phone. If you cannot email the completed form, you can call the CCE office (845-292-6180) and leave your order on our voicemail. We will then call you back with the confirmation and pick-up time. Email is best if you are able.

Pick-up will be May 21-23. We will assign you a time so that we can all keep social distancing. Please try to stick with your pick-up time. If you need to change it, we will do our best to accommodate you.

A word or two about the order form:

I have listed the seed source for each item so that you can google the particular seed company for a complete description of the variety. I did include some brief descriptions for the heirloom tomatoes because I couldn’t resist.

Some plants were grown in different sizes or types of containers so have multiple prices and there are two types of 6 packs: 72 6 packs have smaller cells.

Thank you all so much for all that you do as gardeners and members of our Sullivan County communities and BIG thanks and virtual hug for supporting our plant sale!

Best wishes for a safe, healthy, and productive spring.

04/15/20 Update

Greetings from the Greenhouse!

Hi everyone. Hope you are staying safe and healthy. We have made some changes to our online plant sale. It is a work in progress after all.

Instead of ordering starting today, we are moving the ordering period up closer to the pick-up day so that we have a more accurate inventory of our offerings. The last thing we want to do is promise you cauliflower and have the crop fail a week from now!

Here’s how it will work: The Order Form will be posted on May 11th. Orders will be open May 11th, 8:30am—May 13th, 5:00pm. Just like lining up in front of the door before the opening of our in-person plant sale, orders will be confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. You will be able to fill the order out online or you can call it in to (845) 292-6180 EXT 123. Your order will be ‘filled’ in the order it was received. Then we will send confirmation and the total cost of the order. If an item sells out before your order, you may not see it on your final confirmation.

Then, you can pay for your order on our website or send a check if that is easier. We will follow up with a list of times and dates available for picking up your plants from May 21st – May 23rd.

Thank you so much for purchasing plants from our online plant sale! Your purchase supports our horticultural and environment and natural resources programming.

Now, for the fun part, below is what we are growing so far. Just to whet your appetite! Happy Spring!
