Pocket Pets Program

Sullivan County youth enrolled in the 4-H program orĀ those who are interested in joining will be invited to experience a fun-filled program full of activities for pocket pet enthusiasts. The program will consist of activities geared toward pocket pet owner/ raisers, encourage youth to reach personal goals, and develop skills that will add value in caring for pocket pets.

The programĀ consists of guest speakers, hands-on and knowledge-based activities that are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. The youth will work on different topic areas and will be asked to take a survey on what they learned from each completed activity. Topics will include but not limited to care, environment needs, showmanship, judging, species, breed, variety and more.

Pocket Pets include chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, cavies, mice, rats, snakes, turtles, lizards, birds, fish, cats, and other bow & pocket pets.

Fee

$5 for 4-H members/ $8 for non-4-H members
