Introduction to Harness Horse Racing

This program provides an opportunity for youth with and without horse experience to learn about harness racing and the Standardbred Horse. Through this hands-on program youth will be exposed not only to the harness racing industry but career opportunities in the equine related field.
During the visit participants will visit the museum and learn about the history of harness racing as well as experience the simulator for a racing experience.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour the backstretch of the track with Ellen Taylor, executive director of the Youth Harness Horse Foundation.
