The NYS Department of Health and the CDC approves this evidenced-based program. Based on the Sun-style form of tai chi, participants will learn twelve warm-up exercises and at least the first six moves of this fall prevention program. All exercises are slow, smooth and graceful, encouraging improvement in posture and balance while diminishing arthritis pain and stiffness. Classes are twice a week, for an hour, for eight weeks (totaling 16 classes). We encourage participants to make most of the classes as each class builds upon the prior class to reinforce their growing skills.
All attendees should arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration. Contact the CCESC office to request any special accommodations to attend this class, and to provide dietary restrictions.
