Participants will gain valuable information on how to successfully transfer their farms over to the next generation. With farmers getting older, and looking to retire, it is important to educate them, and the person/people they plan on transferring all of the farm's assets over to. Often times this is the most overlooked aspect of running a farm business, and is often the largest cause of farm business failure.
Daniel Welch from NY Farmnet will be presenting the information on what steps need to be taken to properly do a farm succession. Lunch will be provided.
