July 13 | Understanding & Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior | 1:30- 3:30 pm

Learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common challenges of Alzheimer’s.
July 17, 24, 31 | Living with Middle-Stage Alzheimer’s | 6 – 8 pm
Extension Education Center, 64 Ferndale-Loomis Rd, Liberty
A 3-part series discussing helpful strategies to provide safe, effective, and comfortable care in the middle stage of Alzheimer’s, presented by caregivers and professionals.
August 1 | Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer’s | 1 – 3 pm
Callicoon Public Library, 45 Lower Main St, Callicoon
This interactive workshop features video clips of people with Alzheimer’s for early detection, and a chance to begin drug therapy, enroll in clinical studies, and plan for the future.
These events are free to the public. Registration is requested in advance.
This co-partnered program between Cornell Cooperative Extension and Office for the Aging of Sullivan County is supported by a grant from the NYS Office for the Aging’s Caregiver Program and a grant from the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley NY Chapter.
