Farmer Tax School

  • Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The United States Congress passed a new tax bill in December of 2017 that can present new considerations for farm business owners. As the largest tax overhaul in over thirty years, there are plenty of new tax rules involved with the bill, and it is vital that farmers within Sullivan County are educated on the changes that may affect their operation.

A Farmer Tax School program will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) offers this workshop from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at its Extension Education Center on 64 Ferndale-Loomis Road in Liberty.

Participants will learn about new tax rules and guidance for their farm business, as well as the previous tax credits, deductions, and exemptions that continue to exist in the tax code.

Cost is $15 per person or $10 per CCESC enrollee.

*Anyone can enroll in CCESC for an annual contribution of $25 and receive a monthly subscription to the Extension Connection magazine.

Registration can be completed by calling CCESC at 845-292-6180, emailing sullivan@cornell.edu, or using the link on the left sidebar of this page.

Payment can be made in advance by check, cash, or credit. Program fees support the cost of instructors, refreshments, materials, and facilities. Additional donations for CCESC programs are appreciated.

In the event of special needs, contact CCESC at 845-292-6180.
