Become a Community Tree Steward

Learn from experts how to prune, plant, maintain and identify trees

Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Sullivan County now offers a 2-part Community Tree Steward program. Participants will receive 8 hours of hands-on instruction with Liz Higgins, CCE Agricultural Issue Leader and Susan Dollard, CCE Master Gardener Community Educator.

Come to this exciting new program in Sullivan County and then share your knowledge and skills with your community and neighbors.

Each participant will be asked to volunteer 10 hours back to our community on selected projects.

This is the perfect class for those who enjoy working on community projects, but lack the knowledge of proper care of trees.

The fee for this class is $25.00 and will include a tree care guide book and light refreshments.

Class size is limited, for more individual attention. Fee must be paid with registration to hold your place.
