Kaitlyn was born and raised in Sullivan County on a 3 generation family farm. She has a BT in Animal Science with a concentration in K9 Training and Management, and an Associates in Animal Industry with a concentration in Production. She was a 4-H member in Sullivan County for 15 years before aging out and becoming a volunteer. Her currently responsibilities as a 4-H Educator include implementing programs for 4-H members as well as the Empire Afterschool program held in Monticello Elementary Schools. She has over 10 years of PYD experience and training. She started her youth development career as a counselor at 4-H Camp Shankitunk where she continues to volunteer. Kaitlyn has many years of animal science and youth development experience but also has knowledge of art, science, outdoor living, shooting sports, clothing & textiles, woodworking, and environmental science.
