Savory & Sweet - A Taste of Fall with Natural Contents

  • Wednesday, September 27, 2017, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Eating local supports farmers in your community and boosts your local economy, especially during the peak of the growing season.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2017 Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) invites the public to enjoy Savory & Sweet – A Taste of Fall, a cooking class presented by Natural Contents. This hands-on opportunity will be held in the CCESC Catskills Kitchen from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Extension Education Center on 64 Ferndale-Loomis Road in Liberty.

Participants will learn how to cook a fresh, fall flavor soup and apple tarts, using ingredients from local farms. The presentation includes:

  • A demonstration, hands-on instruction, and tasting
  • How to use fresh food together in simple dishes
  • Which farmers’ markets to find ingredients locally

Each attendee will receive their own copy of Natural Contents’ new cookbook, “Good Food for Everyone: Farm Fresh Clean Eating”.

Cost is $30 per person. Space is limited and registration with non-refundable payment is required in advance. Partial scholarships are available with support from Sullivan Renaissance.

At least nine participants must be pre-registered to hold this class. Registration with non-refundable payment is required in advance by calling CCESC at 845-292-6180, emailing sullivan@cornell.edu, or using the link located on the left sidebar of this page.
