Garden enthusiasts can enjoy the highly anticipated 9th Annual Sullivan County Garden Tour of lovingly cared for private and public gardens this June 17, 2017. Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) is the new co-host of the event, formerly hosted by SullivanArc, with Sullivan Renaissance. The Garden Tour is a fundraiser for the CCESC community horticulture and Master Gardener Volunteer programs.

“Sullivan Renaissance is very excited to continue this annual tradition, partnering with our friends at CCE to bring the public the opportunity to view spectacular gardens in and around Sullivan County,” said Kathleen Capozzoli, 2016 Garden Tour co-chair.

Charter bus and self-drive ticket options are available. The public is encouraged to reserve their seat on the bus, which offers extra amenities including bonus bags, raffles, door prizes, and more, early as a limited number of seats are available. Tickets and guides will be distributed the morning of the tour at the first garden destination, Lazy Pond Bed & Breakfast in Liberty.

CCESC executive director Colleen Monaghan adds, “Driving across the Sullivan County Catskills is always beautiful. We’re thankful to Sullivan Renaissance and our garden hosts for making the trip extra special by highlighting gardens our neighbors and parks put their hard work and hearts into showing.”

Cost is $40 per person for the bus tickets, or $25 per person for self-drive tickets.

Space is limited on the bus for this rain or shine event. Pre-registration with non-refundable payment is required in advance. Registration can be completed online at www.sullivancce.org, by calling 845-292-6180, or visiting the CCESC office at 64 Ferndale-Loomis Road in Liberty. Payment can be made in advance by check, cash, or credit.

Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by The Gerry Foundation.
