Caregiving is stressful work that often causes people to go beyond their comfort zone. It can cause a strain on relationships and result in loneliness and isolation. Caregiving is an endless search for balance between doing too much or not enough. Caregiving can provide positive moments of joy and fulfillment, as caregivers identify skills they did not know they had.The caregiver support group is offered and hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC)’s Caregiver Resource Center (CRC). This group is intended to provide both support and offer new resources to the informal family caregiver who assists an aging, ill, or disabled adult relative or friend.
